Néstor Pitana, árbitro argentino que pitó el partido en el que México perdió 3-0 ante Suecia, será el desginado en juzgar las acciones de la Final de la Copa del Mundo entre Francia y Croacia, que se jugará el domingo 15 de julio en el Estadio Luzhniki.

Con 43 años, el nazareno fue designado en cuatro juegos, uno de ellos el partido inauguración entre Rusia y Arabia Saudita, seguido por el Croacia-Dinamarca en Octavos de Final y el duelo entre Francia y Uruguay en Cuartos.

El debut de Pitana en copas del mundo fue en Brasil 2014 donde estuvo de árbitro central en tres duelos de Fase de Grupos y en el Francia-Alemania de los Cuartos de Final.
